The Progress of Tech Unicorns Globally

The major usefulness of this project was for a venture capital client looking to find a good place for its capital. A total of 1,072 unicorns - startups with a valuation north of USD 1 billion - were sampled across different geographies and sectors. The major epicenters for VC activity were North America, Asia and Europe while the most attractive vertical was finance (payments) since that was central to trade. These nuggets can serve as a guide to the VC in developing its Capital Deployment Strategy.
