Is There Enough Seats in the House?

Is There Enough Seats in the House?

About this project

This project was a remake of an older report I created. The data and question of seating was used to better understand statistical principles of distributions.

The first time doing this report, I was experimenting on just isolating the data. That is why the original dashboard went down to the level of ingredients for each pizza. I did not bother to answer the seating question because the data appeared to lack sufficient information. For instance, how many people ordered take out? My thinking was that seating issues are usually visible in nature. The long line out the door waiting for a seat.

The remake concentrated on answering the main question presented for the challenge. Is the seating of the restaurant satisfactory or do they need to expand the building? After learning some statistics, I took the challenge to answer this question with some assumptions being made for take out orders. Plus, after thinking about it, the restaurant owner probably does not want to wait to see his customers always waiting for a seat before expanding. The owner wants an estimate of when or should he expand, which is a typical question for any company owner. Expanding to soon could hurt them with the additional costs with not enough money coming in to justify the expansion. However, if they wait to long to expand then customers start to find other places to eat because they do not want to wait.

This remake project also is a good indictor of how my skills have grown over time.
