I am based in The Netherlands (Arnhem) and have a solid background in financial and management accounting.
In this field, I have been working on Data Analysis unnoticed for years. After completing the CMA program last December, and inquisitive by nature as I am, I started in January 2023 to explore what a Data Analyst is, and if it would be feasible to switch my self-employment from being a financial professional into a Data Analyst.
My conclusion so far, I don't have to switch. I'm already a Data Analyst for a long time. What I have learned during 20 completed Maven Analytics courses (as of Sep.'23) is that I have become a better finance professional through enhanced Excel skills, and adding SQL, Power BI, and knowledge about data visualization to my toolkit.
I look forward to further deepening my skills and knowledge about these tools and many more to come, such as Python, Machine Learning, Alteryx, Tableau, etc.
